Age 61 of Romeoville, passed from this earthly life and soared with the angels on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Lightways Hospice Home, with his loving family close by his side.
Tony grew up in Burbank IL, but his fondest childhood memories were from the summers he spent at the family vacation home in New Lisbon WI. Boating, fishing, and water skiing on Castle Rock Lake. Riding dirt bikes and ATVs and terrorizing the small “quiet” community. A young boy and teenager’s dream life.
Years later he would be able to live that dream again with his wife and family when the house was given to him after the passing of his parents. Once again, he enjoyed the dream of his Happy Place. A good life.
In 1992 he married Viki, and they built a life together full of love, friendship and family. He was not only a wonderful husband and father to their son Kyle, but he was her best friend. Life was full of coaching his son’s sports teams, attending his son’s martial arts events and providing a beautiful life for his family. He loved attending concerts and professional baseball and hockey games. Together the three of them created many holiday traditions that will live on with Kyle and his newest Grandson Anthony Jay.
In 2005 Tony launched his own business, American Data Cable Inc. With his hard work and determination, the company thrived, and he was proud of what he accomplished as was his family.
To his family and friends, please remember him as that funny, generous, loving guy that would drop everything to help a friend, a family member or a neighbor.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents Anthony D. and Marilyn (Née Miller) Lewis.
He is survived by his loving wife Viki Lewis (Née Gonzalez); sons Kyle (Jenn Harris) Lewis, Anthony J. (Karen) Lewis; grandchildren Anthony Jay, Nicholas, and Julian Lewis; sister Cathy (Late Paul) Lawrence, brother Craig Lewis; and numerous family and friends too many to mention.
A time of remembrance will take place on Friday, August 15, 2025, between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Blackburn Giegerich Sonntag Funeral Home – 1500 Black Road Joliet, 60435. A Celebration of Tony’s Life will follow at 7:00 p.m.
