Eric A. Skelnik, Sr.

Age 62 of Joliet, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care with his family at his side.

Born December 23, 1960 in Chicago, IL, Eric was a son of August and Darlene (Née Woelke) Skelnik, Sr.

Survivors include his spouse, Ana Skelnik; children, Eric (Elizabeth) Skelnik, Jr., Amanda (Carlos) Chilson and Robert (Ashley) Chilson; grandchildren, Autumn, Destiny, Eric III, Zachary, Leliana and Violet Skelnik, Alexis, Mariah and Bentley Lagunas; siblings, David (Karen) Skelnik, Theresa Skelnik, Scott (Nancy) Skelnik, Gerald (Yvette) Skelnik, Barbara Skelnik, Keith (Sandra) Skelnik, Christopher Skelnik, Jacqueline (Tim) Nugent, and Nicholas (Donna) Skelnik; sister-in-law, Donna Skelnik. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents, August and Darlene Skelnik, Sr; and two brothers, Michael Skelnik and August Skelnik, Jr.

Per Eric’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and private services will be held.
