Harvey B. "Harv" Seaborg

Harvey Seaborg, age 81 passed away suddenly on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Silver Cross Hospital.

Harvey (the “Harv”) was born on July 30, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois. He was one of six boys born to Alma (née Nelson) and Leonard Seaborg.

Harvey married Diana Matesevic on February 4, 2000.

He worked various jobs throughout his life and retired as an electrical designer. He lived in Chicago and various suburbs and finally settled in New Lenox.

Harvey had various interests such as fishing, golf, working cross-word puzzles and reading.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and their wives; Leonard “Red” (Virginia), Rick (Phyllis), Roger (June) and Bob (Ellen “Puddy”) Seaborg and his mother and father-in-law, Olga and Edward Matesevic.

Harv is survived by his wife, Diana; brother, Charlie (Linda) Seaborg, his sisters and brothers-in-law; Carolyn (late Rex) Wilson, Marianne (Bill) Miller, Marlene Matesevic, Frank and Leonard Matesevic, as well as many nieces and nephews and his beloved cats, Travis and Trixie.

Per Harvey’s wishes, cremation rites were accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held in his honor.
