Naomi Maud Search         

Age 97 of Crest Hill, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.

Born August 26, 1923 in North Hampton County, PA, Naomi was a daughter of Norman L. and Bertha I. (Née Campbell) Davidson.

She lived in Dartmouth, PA, Glen Ellyn and the Crest Hill areas.

She was retired from Eaton Corporation as a bookkeeper after many years of dedicated service.

Naomi was a member of Hope Methodist Church, Joliet and a former member of First United Methodist Church, Glen Ellyn. She taught Sunday school and was active with the Tandum Club.

In Naomi’s free time she enjoyed walking, gardening, doing needlepoint and always enjoyed eating a good, juicy hamburger.

In recent years, she lived in Carillon Lakes and at the Inn at Willow Falls.  

Survivors include her sons; Gordon W. Search and John Search, nephews; Jeff Davidson, Larry (Sheri) Davidson, Bruce (Mary) Wentzel, Tim (Melinda) Davidson, numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, and longtime friends; Bob and Rosemary Smyle and Bob Quinn.

Naomi was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years; Gordon H. Search, parents; Norman and Bertha Davidson, siblings; Vida (Jay) McKay, Sterling Davidson, Dean Davidson, Lyla Davidson and Norma (Bruce) Herman.

Special thanks to the staff at Willow Falls; most especially Ann, April and Autumn for their genuine care and love of Naomi.

Per Naomi’s request, cremation rites will be accorded and private services will be held.

Naomi will be laid to rest next to her husband in Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA.

Always a smile and a hug. the last of her generation. We will miss her but her siblings can enjoy her presence again.
